Last weekend I took Kennedy to see Charlie adn the Chocolate Factory put on by the Oregon Childrens Theater.
Can I just say...Fantastic!
We had such a good time. One of the Mom's in her 2nd grade class put a group together to go, and always wanting something to do with Kennedy for some one on one time, I bought a couple of tickets. The original plan was to take her out to a lunch of her choice and then to the show. Well, little Miss Procrastinator took forever to get ready (mostly because she was having a hard time pulling herself away from the TV) and so our date got cut a little short. Though we did manage to have enough time to get Red Robin curbside pickup.
But the show was absolutely wonderful. I am admittedly, not a huge fan of plays. I have endured, and even enjoyed, a few, but was not sure how this was going to be. The play was relatively short, no intermission. Perfect for 2nd graders. The cast did a great job. The best part was that Kennedy seemed to really enjoy herself. The Mom/Daughter date was a success for sure.
